Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Review
Everyone raves about this specific product that’s why out of the three new Laura Mercier products that I’ve got, this is the one I am most excited about. This translucent loose setting powder doesn’t have any claims on its packaging, but in one of their official IG posts, they say,”Perfect your settings. Get a flawless finish with TLSP.” Is this what we can expect from this dermatologist tested, and holy-grail for many people product? Let’s see.
Packaging: Comes in a unique grey to brown, brown to grey box. The actual loose setting powder is inside a plastic container that looks like a blurred clear glass, with a dark brown cover — it looks so classy and elegant, I just love looking at it! The translucent loose setting powder doesn’t come with a puff inside, FYI.
Price: 1,850PHP or *36.82US $
Size: 29 g / 1 OZ. (Pretty much can lasts you up to one year if you use it everyday)
Coverage: A bit of white that will eventually wear off.
Smells: Like a normal face powder, but you will forget about the smell once it’s on your face and neck.
Feels: So light! As if you didn’t put anything on your face. It also feels smooth on your face, I am in love with it in an instant!
Texture: Super fine grains of powder, it vanishes on your skin like magic.
Application: With the use of the Laura Mercier large powder puff, it’s easy to press the powder on to your face and won’t get worry that the translucent powder will move your foundation or BB cream. However, I find it funny that the powder puff that was given to me by was too big for the container (LOL!), because of the powder puff’s size, I prefer using my The Body Shop kabuki brush or my Beauty Blender when applying it.
Longevity: If you can’t blot your face with a control oil film, you will retouch at least only once for the entire day if you want to. If your skin is not as crazy oily as mine, then you won’t need to retouch or use a blotting paper at all (lucky you!).
- Final Words: Oh yeah! Not only it’s love at first sight, but it’s also love at first use! I feel like even if I’mo not a pro when it comes to blending my foundation or BB and CC cream — because I normally use my hand when applying products on my face, just because I’m used to that — the finished look is flawlessly smooth! Not only by just looking at it (my face is far from perfect smooth), but especially the way it feels when you glide your hands to your face, or just simply how it feels on your face as it is. I guess I am now officially part of the majority that says that this product is worth the price, aye? Uhm… It’s still definitely expensive, but I can say, now that I am using the Laura Mercier transluscent loose setting powder, I think it’s worth saving for! 😉 And yes, my princess, it’s also worth the hype! Yay!
As for their large powder puff, I wonder why it’s not fit with the container, or the powder puff that was given to me is meant for other makeup container? LOL. It’s super soft, I probably am just gonna use it as a stress ball until I find a container for it, haha!
His Pouting Princess Realization: There is a reason why some products are ridiculously expensive, hehehe! I super thank Mauve Lovelle (check my Vlog Turned Blog why) right now.
His Pouting Princess Rate: DEFINITELY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
